Certificates can be opened with a minimum of $500, unless otherwise noted. Interest earned can be compounded, deposited into another Bremen account, or a check can be mailed. Interest can be paid at maturity, monthly, yearly, or quarterly. Early withdrawal penalties apply unless otherwise noted. Many rates and terms are available. IRA's

Opening requirement for IRAs is $250 deposit. We offer Traditional, Roth, SEP, and Educational IRAs. Rates and terms are the same as our Certificates of Deposit. Interest is paid on balances at $250 and greater. Early withdrawal penalties apply unless otherwise noted. Click here to learn more on rates and terms available.

Money Market

This account can be opened with a balance of $1,200. Interest is paid on balances at $250 or greater, and interest is paid on tiered amounts. Rate of interest paid increases as balance in account increases. Visit our Deposit Interest Rate Page for more information on current rates. There is a $10 charge per month if the balance falls below $1,200 minimum daily balance.

Passbook Savings

Passbook savings accounts require an opening balance of $100 minimum, or $50 for minors. Interest is paid on this type of account, with a balance at $100 or greater. Funds can be accessed by ATM withdrawal or in-person withdrawals at bank. Three in-person withdrawals per month are included at no charge. Should the balance on this account fall below $100, a $2 per month service charge is assessed. This monthly charge is waived on minor accounts.

RateWatchers Money Market

With a RateWatchers Money Market Index Account, you can earn a special annual percentage yield (APY) on balances of $25,000 or more based on the Fed Fund Rate. Interest rates are determined quarterly. Our RateWatchers account allows you to invest for higher returns without the high risk. There is instant liquidity, no loss of principal, and you are able to add money any time...even through the mail or electronic transfers. RateWatchers provides easy access with unlimited in-person withdrawals and the ability to transfer money among accounts with our toll-free number or internet.

Jeanie ATM Card/MasterCard Debit Card

The Jeanie ATM Card and MasterCard debit cards allow 24 hour access to your checking and savings accounts at various ATMs. Both cards are accepted by JEANIE, PLUS and STAR systems. MasterCard debit cards are issued only on checking accounts. There is no charge to use your First Bremen Bank Jeanie or MasterCard debit card at Jeanie terminals. STAR withdrawal fee is $.50, and $2.00 at PLUS machines. Other banks’ surcharges may apply. Debit cards can be used any place where MasterCard is accepted (13 million locations worldwide), and purchases come out of your checking account. The Debit card can eliminate the need to carry a checkbook or large amounts of cash. Charges will be detailed on your monthly statement.
